I totally loved this product. In the beginning I didn’t breakout much just one little blister. I found when I put it on, it soothed the area. But was very messy and would get all over the place not just in that one area. I would apply every couple of hours or every time I went to the bathroom. It was gone within 2-3 days. When can I get some more to try again?? I would definitely purchase this product as well just tell me how.

This product did not affect the length of my outbreak, but it did control the size of it. This product worked better for me than the prescription drug Valtrex. I rated it a 7 because it did not shorten the length of my outbreak. That is the only problem I had. This product does reduce the size and pain of my outbreak, and that it why I would like to keep using it. Usually my outbreak spread passed my lip onto my skin and becomes bubbly and really inflamed. This product diminished the size of my outbreak, and kept it from bubbling up and becoming inflamed. It made my outbreak much less noticeable and less painful.

This is the only product that appears to have worked for me. I have only tried other topical treatments, no prescriptions. I definitely prefer the roller ball design over the kind that squeeze out. There's no chance of making a mess with this.

Still applying about twice a day, but tingling has stopped and no blister has formed. I usually get a blister within hours of the tingling. So, I am very excited that this is working for me, especially since I have company right now. This does sting and has a strong taste, but nothing compared to actually breaking out with a cold sore. The roller ball worked out fine, but I did worry about germ build up, but maybe this should be replaced after every break out.

I have had recurring outbreaks, over 16, in 2008. This product gave me instant relief before the breakout and the smell is pleasant.

I believe Citrumed to be the best solution to my herpes problem. None of the other creams I used came close to how this worked. It inhibits the growth and length of time the herpes warts exist. I am constantly applying it and thank you again. I will continue to use it.

I did find the product to be a bit uncomfortable BUT, it works!! I have had herpes simplex 1 for as long as I can remember. Mostly cold sores as a child, and then vaginal outbreaks as a teen (diagnosed by my MD as type 1). I have tried EVERYTHING on the market and nothing has helped until now.

For previous cold sore outbreaks I used Denavir (penciclovir cream 1%). For this outbreak starting on 26 Feb, I only used the product shipped by you. I found the results to be similar if not slightly better than Denavir. Without any medication, my cold sores usually last about 6-9 days. Denavir cuts that to about 5 days. With your product, it was clear in 4 days.

I applied the product immediately when I noticed sores starting to appear one morning. As was suggested, I applied the product generously approximately every hour during waking hours. It did not take much more than 24 hours for the sores to disappear. I have used Zovirax ointment for about 20 years and Valtrex tablets for about 15. This product worked faster than either of them. In summary, the product was very effective and worked more quickly than others, was convenient, and had minimal side effects (brief stinging after applied).

It feels like a good addition to other medications for cold sores, I don't think I'd replace my oral medication with it, but I like it much better than Abreva. It's hard to directly compare any two outbreaks, but I've never felt like Abreva has done much. Part of this is just there's no visceral sensation when using Abreva, but also because I've never noticed it shortening the time of outbreak. So I would say more effective than Abreva. It has an interesting smell and the slight burn really made it feel like it was working. The tingling was far preferable to itching. It seemed to speed up the sore process, moving from prodromal to scab in 12 hours. The delivery mechanism is good and not messy.

I applied it all most every hour because it drys it up and the sooner it goes away. It worked better than other products - it dried it up real fast. I liked the rollon ball a lot its better then a cream.

I applied the product to my lips(?) Right between my lips towards the inside of my mouth. I would definitely use this product again! As I mentioned before I haven't been religious in applying the solution hourly but if it is most useful for your research that I a) do so & b) log application times I can do that also. Like I said before it sure beats the hell out of hiding out for a week! I've only been using it for 2-3 days now but I'm really excited about as well as optimistic! I usually "handle" outbreaks via high concentration acyclovir taken orally & by handle I mean if I catch the burning/here it comes again sensation before bedtime ( I often confuse it with physical injury given the infrequency of my outbreaks ) it seems to do a decent job of forestalling or lessening the symptoms but if not it dries up in time more quickly than without. But obviously I'm not very happy with the acyclovir or else I wouldn't be willing to completely forgo it to try something else. And also I've never really had an "outbreak" manifest inside my mouth. Seemed to prevent the sores from developing completely. less soreness, quicker recovery time. now, if it could only prevent the sores from returning at all, i'd give it a 10.
